Sponsors Make It All Happen!

What does sponsorship really mean? A great question.

For the Sisters, Christmas at the Monastery sponsorship fosters encounter! Encounter first and foremost with the Divine. Liturgy happens every day at the Monastery -- three times a day! Especially during this week at Christmas at the Monastery the Sisters welcome in guests and friends to share in their greatest gift: their daily prayers.

Sponsorship builds capacity! It's a whole week of fantastic fundraising!

The signature feature of Christmas at the Monastery is the Silent Auction! Sponsors offset technology costs to make this auction possible. This year, the Sisters hope to raise $20,000 through the Silent Auction. Sponsors are essential to this effort!

The Sisters kick off the week with a retreat hosted by the Oblates of the Monastery. The Advent Retreat this year is facilitated by Sister Michaela Hedican, OSB on Benedictine waiting. By offsetting the costs of this retreat, sponsors allow for all funds raise to enhance the mission and ministry of the Benedictine Center.

On Tuesday, December 5, Jack and Cathy Farrell will host a wine education event. Sponsors cover expenses such as food, décor, and volunteer engagement.

On Wednesday, December 6, Mission Advancement engages the St. Nicholas Day fundraiser using our new fundraising software for a peer to peer giving event. Sponsors build capacity through challenge gifts to encourage new donors to join the Sisters in mission.

On Saturday, December 9, the week of Christmas as the Monastery comes to a close with a celebratory event. Sponsors create this event through your support: food, wine, entertainment.

Liturgies and prayer throughout the week will be livestreamed on YouTube and on Facebook through the Sisters' website.

All sponsors are publicly thanked and promoted at each event and are prayed for by the Sisters with great gratitude.
